The world is experiencing a dramatic increase in population. This is causing problems not only for poor, undeveloped countries, but also for industrialized and developing nations. Describe some of the problems that overpopulation causes, and suggest at least one possible solution.
In the fact that the world’s population has been increasing alarmingly. Right now, there are around 7.6 billion people in the world and this number is expanding by 83 million people every year. Overpopulation results to many serious problems both in developing and developed countries. This essay will address some of consequences caused by overpopulation and recommend some solutions to overcome this issue.
Over population has been identified as one of major reasons for the poverty and starvation in the poor and developing countries where the government’s economy is not strong enough to feed all the people. The issues of lacking houses, weak education and health care are quite severe in these countries. In addition, unemployment will rise when there are fewer jobs to support the large number of people. As a result, there is a rise to crime because people will steal various items to feed their family and provide them basic amenities of life.
The population explosion is a global issue, so it threats even to industrialized nations. People in the poor countries trend to immigrate in rich countries resulting from the lack of job positions and other challenges for providing good public services. Besides, the effects of uncontrolled population on environment and natural resources are huge that people on the earth have been impacted. Rise in the number of vehicles and industries have badly affected the quality of air. Rise in amount of CO2 emissions leads to global warming.
From my perspective, there are many ways to solve the population growth. One of first measures is to implement the better education. Government must educate people to understand the need to have one or two children at the most. For example, in China, they have a policy called “one child policy” which has limited the size of the family. Moreover, the government should apply the strong policy and high tax on families having more than two children.
In conclusion, overpopulation causes many dangerous problems for all the countries in the world and the government plays a vital role to control it properly.Attachments:
