The picture illustrates the development process of the honey bee.
The life cycle includes 7 stages beginging in a form of eggs and growing into mature adults. In addition, the whole process takes from 34 to 36 days.
In the first stage, eggs hatch after a period of roughly 10 days to transform into nymphs. After that, nymphs grow up and experience 3 times of moulting to become young adults. The first time takes place 5 days after eggs hatch. However the second and third time takes longer at 7 days and 9 days, respectively after the previous stage completes.
At the fifth stage, nymphs now become immature adults. To reach the nex stage, the insect need a space of 4 days to maturity. Afterwards, a typical female honey bees can lay eggs every three days.
