The diagrams illustrate the processes of how to produce and recycle glass containers such as bottles.
It is clear that there are three steps to manufacture glass production. Meanwhile, four stages are required to make glass recycling.
At the beginning of producing glass containers, three main materials such as sand, soda ash, limestone and other chemicals are mixed together. After that, all mixture is heated in glass furnace under very high temperature which is approximately 1500() C. Then, the molten glass is shaped by blowing. Finally, glass containers are formed.
The first step of glass recycling is collecting the used glass products. In the next step, the collected glass is categorized according to its color. Subsequently, glass is washed by removing impurities. Before the final molten glass is moulded into new items – glass recycling, the washed glass needs to be crushed to small pieces then melted it. Recycled products are created.
