Chữa bài IELTS Task 2
Rich countries are getting richer while poor countries are getting poorer. What is the cause of this? What could be done to solve this problem?
The property gap between rich nations and poor nations are becoming larger in recent period. This issue is caused by some notable reasons and measures should be proposed to resolve it.
In the context of modern society, two main reasons can be pointed out. Firstly, many big countries such as the USA, China or Russia have the tendency of spreading their fluence on other countries in order to gain more economical benefits from them such as the oil in Middle East. In such progresses, conflicts or even civil wars often occur in those regions, causing the destruction of their infrastructure and elimination of any aspects of their economies. Secondly, many international companies, which is originated from rich nations tend to locate their branches in developing countries. With the realistic aim of maximizing their profits, they often pay minimal attention to the development of such regions, often hiring domestic labor forces with low salary levels or exhausting natural resources.
A number of solutions should be taken to tackle this problem. International laws to control the relationship between nations should be enacted, presenting the right to develop at their own decision. Moreover, developed countries with high level of industrial development like Japan or Korea may support developing countries with sources of investment like FDI or ODA, giving them great opportunities to improve their infrastructure and manufacturing methods. However, those countries should strictly control the operation of such projects.
In conclusion, there are 2 major reasons that bring about this issue and this can be handled by some actions from nations.
