In many countries, the number of people choosing to live by themselves is increasing rapidly in recent years. Why is this happening? What are the effects?
Nowadays, the decision of people to start a new life by themselves has become a popular tendency. There are a number of reasons for this trend, which is having a significant impact on both family life and on the community as a whole.
There are two fundamental reasons why a large number of people deciding to create a self-reliance life nowdays. Firstly, rather than tosplit their time between taking care of family and working, they consider that building their own successful careers is top-priority. Should people put their concentration on working at the early stages, their performance and salary will promote quickly. Furthermore, people want to nurture not only their essential skills but also their patience. In fact, they have to do the house chores such as cooking the meals, washing the dishes or clothes. Therefore, choosing to live alone can be a huge challenge for those who usually rely on parents when being still a kid. This will lead them to be more mature and confident in their future.
However, this prevalent trend could have negative consequences in terms of individual families and society. An important concern for society is that when the rate of independent people increasing sharply, there will be a rise in the demand for accommodations as well as houses. As a result, the costs for living and daily needs will soar and people who have a lack of money cannot pay enough. Another negative factor is that the isolation of people in recent years is the consequence of living by themselves. This means that they gradually lose their family’ love and can be home-sick after a long term. Consequently, they will keep in touch with their relatives and families less than ever before.
In conclusion, there are a number of reasons why more and more people prefer living alone. As a result, there could be negative influences on individual families and the society at large.
