Some people believe that medicine and health care payment is belong to citizens’ responsibility, while the opponents of this idea prefer the option that medical care should be free. While there are some obvious benefits to residents when they do not need to pay their medical bills, I would argue that everyone should pay a reasonable fee for medical services.
On the one hand, there are many obvious benefits when health insurance is provided free is that it could generally improve the health condition of the community. Firstly, it seems evident that there are numerous people died each day due to lack of proper healthcare. If medicine and other medical treatments could be chargeless, this would increase the number of the poor take the services, and save their life. Secondly, free medical supplies can reduce financial stress for certain people. For instance, a lower class family, who live on the social welfare, can save the money (that paid for medical treatment) for children go to school or at least provide them a better meal.
On the other hand, it seems to me that paying medical care is the better choice. One reason is that free things can become undervalued, no one want to wait for long hours overload to get headache drug. In this case, many people are willing to pay a mount of money to experience the higher quality of services. The other major argument against free medical providing is financial. Typically, it can cost several millions to provide a range of medical products for all citizens each year whereas only a small minority of people can not afford the sufficient requirement of insurance themselves. This money, it is argue, would be better spend on medical research or upgrade facilities for hospitals, hence improving the quality of medical industry.
In conclusion, while free medical supplies are benefit for certain people, it seems to me that paying for health care bring more bright sides.
