Some people think that the university education function should prepare students for employment but others believe university education can offer many other function. Discuss both views and give your own opinions.
Nowadays, we are living in the era of globalization and industrialization which increases significantly the demand of human resources. Some people hold the perspective that university program should pay more attention to teach students for employment. While others believe that the function of university education can use for other aspects. In this essay, I would like to discuss both views and give my opinions.
On the one hand, building the high skilled employments by education is the vital purpose. In order to take advantages of technology, if undeveloped countries want to catch up rich countries, they must have the skilled workforce that could possibly use for many works. For example, Vietnam is the tropical country, having 80% of population work at agriculture, the government must use state-of-the-art technologies and experts to help farmers. Hence, these farmers gain much benefit from the process of applying technological advantages in framing.
On the other hand, it still has many advantages for using educational system in another aspects. The university authority can cooperate with several big companies to provide experts who are capable of solving macro problems. Moreover, providing scientists play a vital role in simulate the scale of economy and society. For example, scientists can take the advantages of technology to find sustainable power for human which can solve the global warming or another environmental issues.
From my personal perspective, I reaffirm my belief that the government and university authorities should enact the educational programs to encourage not only for workforce but also innovational research in the future.
