Topic: Billions of dollars are spent on space research. This is a waste of money. More money must be spent on improving the problems of people on earth. To what extent do you agree or disagree?
Since the beginning of space industry, a lot of money has been spent on studying the space. While I agree that those money should be spent on other important challenges on our planet rather than on space, I believe that there are good reasons to invest in research of outer space.
On the one hand, space exploration is believed to be pointless at the present as it has not shown many direct benefits for our life on earth. Space contains infinite elements and complex concepts which will take forever to understand all. In fact, even greatest scientists of all time have only discovered a little information in this vast universe despite having spent a considerably large amount of money and time. In the end, those researches are only used for further study but not for solving serious problems worldwide, which later become a polemical issue and many people require the government to reuse the budget for nation and world concern.
On the other hand, I believe that space study is a good future investment. By exploring the universe, we can understand more other planets and stars and on which one human life can exist in case we cannot survive on our planet one day. Moreover, rare and precious nature elements might be found and exploit for useful purposes while conducting those research about outer space planets without damaging our resourses and environment. In addition, we also can learn and might avoid unpleasant factors such as asteroid threating mankind on earth in the future.
In conclusion, although space research have consumed huge money which should be spent on dealing with problems on earth, I believe it is not a total waste but a vital work for human in the future.Please kindly check my notes in the attached file, and if you have any questions, please feel free to ask me here in comments.
