PART 1: HOME/ACCOMODATION
1/ What kind of housing/accomodation do you live in?
I live in a medium flat in a twenty-one-storey tower block with spectacular view of the city, especially at night. My flat is suitable for a nuclear family with 1 living room, 3 bedrooms, 1 kitchen and 2 bathrooms.2/ Who do you live with?
I live with my parents and my younger brother. We always get on well with each other and have a lot of fun.3/ How long have you lived there?
I’ve lived there for about 1 year and a half since I moved to Bien Hoa city for my job. My hometown is Ho Chi Minh city where I spent most of my youth.4/ What’s the difference between where you are living now and where you have lived in the past?
In the past, I lived in a terraced house which is more spacious than my current residential area. However, I feel more satisfied with my current flat because it is so near my company that I can walk to work. Conversely, my old house took me more than 1 hour to commute between my home and my work place.5/ Do you plan to live there for a long time?
To be honest, I intend to move to Australia. That’s why I’m trying to get a good Ielts score in order to apply a scholarship and reach my dream.6/ Which room does you family spend most of the time in?
It’s definitely the living room where all the family members get together to watch televison and chat to each other every evening. It’s a really harmonious atmosphere.7/ Are the transport facilities to your home very good?
To be honest, most of the transport facilities to my place are not very modern. The bus service is old and usually overcrowded.8/ Do you prefer living in a house or a flat?
I prefer to live in a flat rather than in a house because living in a flat is more safety with security 24 hours per day. Besides, my tower block includes a kindergarten, shopping malls, a supermarket and a gym center that brings convenience to our modern life.9/ Please describe the room you live in.
My room is a place for me to relax after a hard working day. I use it to sleep and change clothes. It has a private bathroom inside, one bed, one waredrobe and one cupboard. My room’s decoration suits my own hobby and it is painted in blue that is my favourite colour. It is quite small but it’s just right for me.10/ What part of your home do you like the most?
I prefer my living room the most. It’s not only a place for family members’reunion but also a place for entertainment. The best thing of my living room is that it has a spectacular view of the city, especially at night.
