Many governments think that economic progress is their most important goal. Some people, however, think that other types of progress are equally important for a country.
Discuss both these views and give your own opinion.
In many countries, economic development is the most essential aim. While some people are of opinion that other improvements are equally crucial for a nation, I personally believe that beside economy, education also has a considerable importance.
It is certainly true that economy is one of the main key to build up a country. Firstly, developing economy is the best way to reduce the proportion of unemployment and poverty. A case in point is that lots of companies or factories which provide works for the jobless will be built thanks to the economic progress. Secondly, economy lays the solid foundations of education, health, and other fields of society. Furthermore, a nation with a strong economy can easily adapt to the world, especially developed countries.
Nevertheless, I would agree with those who believe that education also plays an important role in the growth of country. Education helps individuals raising consciousness about policy and nation and assists many people in having knowledge of their rights and responsibility. Additionally, education has a part in taking form new lifestyles and personality of the whole society. We are living in the age of industrialization and modernization, so countries need educated people in order to fit for the new world. Furthermore, education can train the human resources with good qualities which motivate the growth of economy as well as country. Thus, education is very important.
In conclusion, while there are some reasons to believe that economic development is the most essential goal, but my own view is that education is the main key to develop country.
