The table provided illustrates information on the spending of university students each year in three countries.
Overall, although students in country A and country C spend much more money than those in country C, their expenditure for housing and food always shares the highest proportion in all three countries.
As can be seen from the table, the most striking feature is that the total money tertiary students spend every year in country A and B is three times greater than that in country C. Looking at details, the amount of money students spend on accommodation in country A makes up nearly one out of two total expenditure while this figure for country A and C just is one in three, which is 35% and 30%, respectively.
In terms of country A, food and leisure are the second highest spending, which share the same percentage, at 22%. Similarly, in country B, leisure activities are a little less than food in the percentage of expenditure, which is 23% and 28% in that order. In stark contrast, regarding country C, it is noticeable that food takes the lead in the students’ spending, at 36%, followed by housing and books, which accounted for 30% and 21%, respectively. Another remarkable point is that while expenditure for others is the least proportion in country B, C, the figure for book in country A is the lowest amount of money spending.
