The gap between the rich and the poor is increasingly wide, as rich people become richer and poor people grow poorer. What problems could this situation cause? What are the solutions to address those problems?
Modern life has witnessed a significantly growing difference between the affluent people and the poor. This essay will analyze some root causes and propose several practical approaches towards this problem.

It is true that there are a variety of reason why this situation takes place. Firstly, as poor people spend much more time on earning butter and bread for family, they would pay less attention on their children. As a consequence, the children are easily turn into crime due to the lack of parental guidance, which makes them become serious dangers to wealthy people as well as society as a whole. This leads to the widen gap between the poor and the rich in the present. Secondly, the illiteracy among the poor people owing to inequality of education system which is resulted from the economic model called “Capitalism”. Put it another way, in capitalism system, the wealthy people have more opportunities to assess to the high quality of education than the poor. Thus, they progress rapidly in their career while poor people do not gain the basic education, due to its prohibitive cost. Therefore, it is understandable why the gap between them grows dramatically than ever before.

There are, however, a number of practical measures that need to be implemented to remedy this issue. To begin with, the government should support financial aids for poor families to ensure they could earn enough money to make ends meet. This helps them to improve the standard of living and to enjoy a happier life. Moreover, education system and healthcare services should be concerned by authorities in order to secure the equal opportunities for both affluent people and the poor. Another further idea is that wealthy people should make a huge contribution to community by doing charity. Through it, they could help the poor to have better life and these actions would minimize the stressful gap between them from the past and make our society become stronger by close relationship among people from all walks of life.

In conclusion, it can be said that by some useful above methods, the government plays a pivotal role in reducing the gap between the rich and the poor in the whole society.
