The table below gives information about past and projected population figures in various countries for different years. Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

The table compares the population in four countries from 1990 to 2000 and predictable number for the year 2020 and 2050.
Overall, the United States is by far the most densely populated country. By contrast, New Zealand has the smallest figure compared to those of Australia and Canada.
In 1990, the population in USA stood at nearly 250 million people. From 1993 to 2000, it witnessed a progressive increase, reaching the number of about 275 millions. It is expected that in 2050, the figure for the US would rocket to about 350 millions, which would be an increase by 100 million citizens over 6o-year-period.
A similar trend was seen in the remaining countries. The population of Australia rose from 17 millions to around 19 millions between 1990 and 2000, then possibly peaks at 26 millions in 2050. Similarly, Canada experienced an upward tendency over the period shown with the number increasing from 27 to nearly 40 millions. New Zealand has the lowest figure, its population rose gradually to around 4 million people during first 10 years while probably increases by 2.3 millions in 2050.
