Overall, the illiteracy rates increased from developed countries to South Asia The illiterate people who were female were much higher than male in most countries. Of all counted regions, South Asia had the most illiterate people.
In developed countries, the illiteracy rate of female was almost inconsiderable.It was higher in East Asia and Latin America, exactly 20% and around 10% respectively.However, Sub-Saharan Africa, Arab States and South Asia had the highest rates. Their illiteracy rates were all around 50% and even nearly 60% in South Asia.
Men who were illiterate in developed countries were lower than women and itnearly 0%. Latin America and East Asia had higher rates of illiterate male, around 10%. Also, the figures for illiterate male in Sub-Saharan Africa , Arab States and South Asia were much higher and all are about 30%.
