The provided line graph compares the number of cars owned by British households in Britain during a 36-year period. Overall, it is obvious that there was an upward trend in terms of number of car owners.
As can be seen from the graph, the percentage of people who had no car was nearly 50% in 1971 while the figures for people who owned more than two cars were just below 10% at the same year.
The one-car household became the most popular type from 1970’s onwards, remained the same at around 45%. The proportion of no car saw a gradual decrease during the whole period by almost haft number at the beginning.
Before overtaking the figure for no car owners in 2007 at approximately 25%, it increased by 15%.
Although the process of figures changing of kinds of car ownership were different, the last numbers, amazingly, turned out extremely close for no car and 2 cars.
