The three pie charts below show the changes in annual spending by a particular UK school in 1981,1991 and 2001.
Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

The three given pie charts compare how total expenses appear in a specific UK school ranging from 1981 to 2001.

Overall, it can be seen from the figures that while spending on insurance, teachers’ salaries and furniture & equipment seemed to experience certain increases, the remaining categories such as other workers’ salaries and resources was neglected and barely invested over the period.

A more detailed look at the graphs reveals that budget spent on insurance grew gradually from 2% to 3% in the first 2 years and then boosted considerably to 8% in 2001. Regarding teachers’ salaries, the rate hit from 40% to 45% during the period after reaching its peak at 50% in 1991.
While the proportion of resources rose to 20% in 1991 and dropped remarkably to 9% in 2001, that of furniture & equipment experienced a fall at 5% in 1991 and climbed incredibly to 23% in the last year. Meanwhile, the rate for other workers’ salaries decreased gradually from 28% to 9% throughout the period.
