The chart below shows the number of passengers arriving at a train station per hour across a day, and
also the average price (in US Dollars) of their tickets.
Write a report summarising the information. Select and describe the main features, and make
comparisons where relevant.

18The table provides data on the number of passengers reaching a station every two hours and the average price that they have to pay for their tickets.
Overall, the ticket prices increase with the amount of passengers with the exception of evening times when the price actually falls.
It can be seen from the chart that passenger traffic peaks 3 times a day during 8am, 12pm and 6pm. The highest number of commuters using train in a day are 700 at midday and followed by 690 at 8am and 670 at 6pm. In contrast, train is not widely used in 4pm with only 230 passengers.
In terms of ticket prices, it varies during the day. Starting with $23 at 6 o’clock in the moring, it then surges to nearly $30 in the next two hours. At 12pm, the price reachs its peak of the day at $31, after that hour, the cost shows trend of decreasing. Despite the high number of passengers at 6pm, the tickets sold at that time are the lowest, it cost only $11 to buy.Attachments:
