Đề 1: The charts below show the levels of participation in education and science
in developing and industrialized countries in 1980 and 1990.

The three bar charts compare developing and industrialized countries in term of average year of schooling, the number of scientists and technicians and the amount of spending on research & development in 1980 and 19990.

Overall, during 10-year period, the developing and industrialized nations all involved more in education and science. Although the two trends were similar, the figures for the industrialized countries were all higher in three comparing aspects than those of the former.

The given period experienced a slight increase in the number of years attending school to 3 years with developing countries and more than 10 years with industrialized countries. The figure for scientists and technicians of industrialized countries went up from over 40 to 70 per 1000 people. Although, there was a marginal rise in developing countries, the number was both below 20 per 1000 people.

In 1980, the expenditure for R&D activities in the industrialized countries was triple than that in developing countries. While this budget of the industrialized countries increased considerably after 10 years, accounting for 350 million, the developing countries reduced their investment to half.
