The line graph compares the number of car thefts in Great Britain, Sweden,
France and Canada from 1990 to 1999. Units are measured in thefts per 1000
      vehicles.

Overall, the figures saw remarkable fluctuations over a period of 9 years.
It is obvious that the rate for Great Britain was always at the highest
      point during the period shown.

As can be seen from the graph, the proportion of automobile thefts in Great
Britain stood at nearly 18 thefts per 1000 cars, whilist that of France
only held at about 7. In the 1991- 1996 period, both these ratios
significantly varied before having downward trends in the remainder of the
surveyed period. 3 years later, the portion for Great Britain had around 17
thefts per 1000 motor vehicles, meanwhile, the figure for France reached at
      the initial point in 1990.

In the year of 1990, approximately 8 thefts burgling cars was recoded for
Sweden, compared to about 7 thefts in Canada. Both rates tended to
slightly decline between 1990 and 1993, however, there were sudden
increases after that. In 1999, whereas the number of vehicle thefts in the
Sweden sharply jumped to nearly 13 thefts, the other slowly rose to around
      6 thefts.
