The charts illustrate the occupation and study status of graduate and postgraduate students who did not work full-time after leaving college in 2008.
Overall, the majority of student chose to keep studying after leaving college while the number of students worked as a volunteer were lowest in both groups.
Regarding the graduate student’s occupation, the number of students studying further was highest, standing at just under 30 thousand while only 3.5 graduate did an unpaid job. Moreover, students who opted for the part-time job was under 18 thousand, and this figure for jobless students was slightly lower, just over 16 thousand.
The number of postgraduates pursuing a higher diploma was around 2.7 thousand which was about 0.2 thousand higher than that of people who worked in a part-time job. Students who seeking for a job were over 1.6 thousand while only a minority student worked without being paid, at 345 students.
