The bar chart below shows the numbers of men and women attending various evening courses at an adult education centre in the year 2009. The pie chart gives information about the ages of these course participants.

The bar chart illustrates how many attendants , devided by gender, took four kinds of night-time classes at an adult education centre in 2009 and the pie chart indicates the percentages of joiners by age range.
Overall, with the exception sculpture course, the number of female participants exceeded that of males. In addition, the majority of attendants in these courses were in the over 50 age group.
In terms of participants in language class at night, the figure for females was twofold more than that of males (40 and 20 respectively). Similarly, 20 women who participated in dram course as opposed to just 10 men who did it. While 30 females attended the evening course of painting, the number of males learning this subject was slightly lower (around 25). Finally, the number of attendants in night-time sculpture class was lowest, which accounted for 10 men and 5 women.
Turning to the pie chart, joiners aged over 50 made up the highest percentage (42%), followed by the 40-49 years olds with 26%. People at the age of 20-29 and 30-39 came next with a mere difference. The final position belonged to the youngest age group who gathered only 5%.

Personally, I think “the lowest” was used when it is followed by nouns or phrases. In the case that nothing follows it, it is acceptable to write ;” A is lowest”
1: A is the lowest number
      2: A is lowest

I found 3 examples in Ielts Simon:
      1. Rainfall is highest in October. (Rainfall is at its highest in October)
      2. Temperatures are warmest in the south of the country. (at their warmest)
      3. Traffic is slowest between 7 and 9am. (at its slowest).
      And this is my sentence:
the number of attendants in night-time sculpture class was lowest.
May you show me why I am wrong?
