The graph below shows the consumption of fish and some different kinds of meat in a European country between 1979 and 2004

The line chart compares the consumption of four types of food in a particular European country within a period of 26 years from 1979 to 2004
Overall, fish was the less consumed food in this country during the period shown. Also, the amount of beef and lamb consumed have a tendency to decrease, while the figure for chicken saw a remarkable climb.In the year 1979, the amount of beef consumed was highest, at about 210 grams per person per week. In the meantime, the figures for chicken and lamb were significantly lower, at about 145 grams and exactly 150 grams. Fish took up the lowest number with only about 60 grams eaten.
During the period between 1979 to 2004, the consumption of beef peaked at about 240 grams in 1983, but then sharply fell to reach the final figure of 110 grams in 2004. The amount of chicken consumed witnessed a significant increase to hit the highest point of nearly 250 grams in 2004. By contrast, there was a fluctuating reduction in the figure for lamb, and this ended at about 65 grams, compared to roughly 40 grams of fish.
