The line graph compares both nations namely US and Japan in term of unemployment rate from March 1993 to March 1999.
Overall, unemployment rate in US decreased over the given period while the trend in Japan is contrast. Although, at the beginning of the period, the figure for the US was higher than the that of Japan, Japan outnumbered the Us at the end of the period.
In the US, March 1993 to 1995 experienced a significant drop from 7% to 5.5% , then remain constant in the next year. The percentage of the unemployed fluctuated between 5.5% and 4.5 % before hit the lowest point at 4,1% in March 1999.
Over the same period, the proportion of Japan followed the different trend. Starting from 2.4%, the figure increased gradually to 4% in 1998. Unemployment rate in Japan was equal to that in the US at 4,5%. However, the figure for the us was lower than that of Japan in 1999, at about 4,1% and 4,6% respectively.If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me!
