The line graph gives data about about the employment of teachers teach French and English in Ontario in the period of 7 years, from 2001 to 2007.
A glance at the line graph makes it clear that the percentage of first year French-language teachers was higher than English-language teachers.
In the perod of 2001-2002, the number of teachecrs teach French went down strongly from 70 percent to nearly 50 percent. But after that it rose quickly to the old figure. In the term of 2003-2005, this number increased gradually although it experienced a slightly in 2006, and the figure in 2007 was about 75 percent.
In contrast, the amount of first year English teachers had a job dropped quite fast, from above 70 percent in 2001 to 40 percent in the year 2003.
It experienced a small increase before it finally dropped quickly to below 30 percent in 2007.
In conclusion, although the number of French and English teachers both decline between 2001 and 2003, the figure of French-language teachers in most years were much higher than English-language teachers.
