The graph below shows the proportion of the population aged 65 and over between 1940 and 2040 in three different countries.
Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

ANSWER:The line graph illustrates the percentage of people who are 65 years old and over during a period from 1940 to 2040 in Japan, Sweden and the USA.
Overall, the proportion of elderly people in both three nations increase suddenly. In addition, the figure for Japan varies more significantly than others.
In the year 1940, the percentage of the elderly Americans was approximately 10%. However, the figures for Sweden and Japan were lower, at about 7% and exactly 5% respectively. In 2000, over 5% of Japanese people was the senior citizens, compared to over 15% of Americans and under 15% of Swedish people.
The period from 2020 to 2040 is predicted to see a sharp growth in the percentage of Japanese people aged 65 and over. In 2004, it is likely to overtake the figure for the USA and reach the highest point of the whole graph, at about 27%. In contrast, the USA and Sweden are expected to witness a gradual increase in this proportion, at about 25% and under 25% respectively.————————-
