The given map chart illustrates the conversion of the village in Stokeford after 80 years starting 1930.
Overall, it is evident that, after the period, there was an urbanized in Stokeford, where saw a moderate rise in the number of accommodation. The data also indicate that, in 1930 Stokeford still was an agricultural area.
In the west of the village, these shops were knocked down in 2010, while the post office still be there and saw no significant changes. Besides, to the opposite of the post, there was an extended in Primary school. Meanwhile, the conversion of large houses into retirements was to the south east of the school. This change brought more shelter to local people.
In the north east and south west of Stokeford, these farmlands were replaced by these houses after 80 years. In here, these roads were built to extend residential area. On the contrary, there was no change in the south of the village, where had only a bridge to cross the river Stoke.Attachments:
