The maps describe the changes on appearance of a village named Stokeford between 1930 and 2010.
In general, there are 2 highly differentiated features which the quantity of homes went up sharply in 2010, while the significant areas for agriculture were dwindled.
In 1930, the residential area was quite sparse only with a few houses built on both sides of the main road running across the Stokeford village. In contrast, by 2010, there were four additional streets branched out from the main road to have access to remarkable number of houses constructed along their two sides. Furthermore, local shops had been demolished to make land for new constructions. Over this period, the most crucial difference in 2 pictures was the huge farmlands converted into residential areas on the south-west and the north-east.
Moreover, the local primary school in the past was extended to 2 new blocks. The large houses formed in gardens on the east were somewhat enlarged and served as retirement home.
