Incidence of X disease in Someland

The line graph gives information about the number of X disease cases in Someland in a 35 year-period, beginning in 1960.

Overall, the figure for X cases decreased almost all the time surveyed. In addition, X cases reached the highest number in both 1975 and 1980.

As can be seen, the volume of X cases started its trend at around 100 in the first year 1960, followed by a gradual increase to 200 in the next 10 years. It then rapidly hit the peak of the whole line graph at about 500 cases in 1975, which was 5 times as high as that in 1960. This number stayed the same level for 5 years later.

From that time on, Someland saw a quick downward trend in the number cases of X disease, which accounted for above 300 cases in 1985. In 1990, there was a dramatic decline in the figure for X disease cases to zero. It is interesting that no X case was reported in Someland from 1990 to 1995.
