Chữa bài IELTS Task 1
The pie charts compare the percentage of five different methods of transportation used by travelers to get to one university in 2004 and 2009.
Overall, after five years, bus took over car and became the most popular transport. While car witnessed a sharply decrease, the remaining four methods of transportation show the same trend of increasing.
Initially in 2004, more than half of people used car as their main transport to travel to the university, bus was right after that with the figure of 33%. But only after five years, the trend was reverse, the proportion of car users dropped significantly to 28% while that of bus rose dramatically to 46%. The considerable changes in the percentage of people could be attributed to the alteration of car parking in 2008 and the installation of new bus stop in 2006.
The three remaining transports all experienced slight growth. To be specific, the percentage of bike riders rose by 7% from 9% in 2004 to 16% in 2009. On the other hand, although the proportion of train passengers increased, that number was still insignificant, that also made train the least favorite of all methods during five years.Attachments:
