The two pie charts compare the percentage of English pupils at one university who could use other languages beside English on 2000 and 2010.
According to the given charts, it is explicit that most of British students were able to speak one or more other languages. Even though there were several changes between two years, Spanish remained as the most common one.
In 2000, 30% of English students chose to learn Spanish as additional language, which accounted for the largest figure. This year showed two same proportions of four categories, which are 10% and 15%. French and another language stood for 30% in total, while 10% of students could speak Germany and two languages each. However, two-ten of them did not utilize any other language.
In the following 10 years, Spanish and another one witnessed a rise of 5% each, nevertheless, Spanish continued to be the top proportion. Surprisingly, the four remaining categories experienced a same figure, which was 10%. While Germany and two languages remained the same compare to the previous figure, French and no language dropped by 5% and 10%, respectively.
