The table depicts the information about the actual and anticipated population in Sao Paulo, Jarkata and Shanghai.
Overall, it is noticeable that Sao Paulo was the most populous city during the period shown. Also, the number of Sao Paulo and Jarkata’s population increased, while there was a reduction in the figure for Shanghai.
In the year 1990, 15 million people resided in Sao Paulo, making it the most crowded city. The number of residents in Shanghai was ranked second with 13.5 million, compared to 9.5 million in Jarkata. In the next ten years, Brazil remained the leading city in terms of population, at 18 million. In the meantime, the figure for Shanghai witnessed a decrease of 1 million, while the number of Jarkata’s population was negatively correlated, at 15 million in the year 2000.
Regarding predicted figures, the number of citizens in Sao Paulo was expected to reach 24 million in 2000, being rank first about the predicted population. 14 million people were anticipated to live in Jarkata, 3.5 higher than the actual figure.
