The given diagram demonstrates the process of producing potato chips. Overall, there are six main steps before final items are produced.
The production begins with a rigorous check of potato quality by hand followed by washing them and rinsing by cold water. Then they are put into a peeler to remove all peels and starch before entering a bucket conveyor. Potatoes are then transported into another conveyor, at which they are cut into slices and then moved through an air-dried machine. After that, all of these are fried in a deep fryer. Some salt is added to these fried slices on a flat belt conveyor. The final step is packing well-done potatoes in packs by a machine. If the chips are required to be canned, then another machine called bulk can filler will take these chips into cans and cover them.
In summary, potatoes are usually washed carefully, then peeled, sliced and fried in order to make potato chips cans or packs.
