The provided table compares the breakdown test result in IELTS general test in 2010 with regard to four skills (listening, reading, writing and speaking) taken by examinees in four different nations (Germany, French, Indonesia and Malaysia)
Overall, it is clear that Germany appeared to have highest overall band score while the lowest score went to Indonesian test takers. Notably, of all four skills, speaking scored the highest point throughout four regions.
As is presented, the highest overall band score went to Germany with 6.7, closely followed by French (6.5). The figures for Indonesian was just 6.3 and for Malay, 6.4.
Besides, in the writing and speaking section, participants from Germany achieved the greatest in both skills, recording at 6.6 and 6.9, whereas Malay had the lowest grades, given by 6.0 and 6.6.
In term of two remain skills, the same pattern can be seen for the results of French and Indonesian test takers, making up 6.3 in listening and 6.1 in reading. Compared to participants from Malaysia, the figures for listening scores was 0.1 higher than, and 0.1 lower than that of reading.Attachments:
