From 1980 to 1988, the figure for Olive Ridley Turtles significantly grew, and this overtook the number of all species as the most populous turtles in 1988. The number of Leatherback Turtles reached a peak at roughly 110 in 1987, while the figure for Green Turtles was lower in the same year, at around 95.

The population of Olive Ridley Turtles fluctuated in the last 18 years after reaching the highest point in 1996, at 136. The figure for all species witnessed a slight fluctuation during the 32 years, reaching the final figure of just 105.
