The given table provides information reported by United Nations about four important social and economic indicators in Canada, Japan, Peru and Zaire in the year 1994.
Overall, there is a significant difference between four represented countries in terms of four socio-economic indicators. While the indicators in Japan was highest, with an exception of daily calorie supply per person, Zaire saw the lowest ones.
The amount of money that Japanese people earned in 1994 was $15760. This figure was more hundred times than that for Zaire, at only $130. The second highest annual income per person among the researched nations was Canada, at $11100. Peru people received the annual salary of $160. In addition, life expectancy of Japanese [78] and Canadians [76] was nearly the same, but it was much lower in Peru [51] and only 47 in Zaire.
Canada headed the table for daily calorie supply per person. An average of Canadians needed 3326 calories a day compared with 2846 in Japan, 1927 in Peru and 1749 in Zaire. Finally, the percentage of adult literacy reached almost 100% in Canada and Japan.
