The diagram below shows the water cycle, which is the continuous movement of water on, above and below the surface of the Earth.
The chart illustrates the cycle of water which is a continuous movement of water on the surface of the planet. Overall, there are three main stages in this process, beginning with falling rain or snow and ending with becoming clouds.
At the first stage, clouds are blowing by winds and water droplets fall as rain or snow called “precipitation” on the diagram. Next, after rain has fallen, some of rainwater may fall into lakes or absorb into the ground. In underground, it returns to the oceans via “surface runoff” and becomes some “salt water intrusion” on its way. During moving into the sea, some water filters through the ground to become “impervious layer” of the earth.
Finally, heat of the sun causes water to evaporate about 80% of total water vapour in the air from the seas. With suitable conditions, it condenses into water vapour and form clouds to complete the cycle. After becoming clouds, water starts a new cycle and it moves in a continuous cycle based natural conditions.Attachments:
