Some people think that good health is very important to every person, so medical service should not be run by profit-making companies. Do the advantaged of private health care outweigh the disadvantages ?
People’s opinions differ as to whether or not medical service should be run by profit-making companies. While some people completely support to run profit-making service, I still believe that it is unnecessary to do that.
There are two main reasons why people might argue that firms should run their medical service in order to make profit. Firstly, governments can develop their countries by focusing on the aspect of society thanks to the tax of profit-making corporations. For example, governments invest better in transport network, hospitals, schools and so on; therefore, the ordinary people can enhance their living standard. Secondly, many people prefer to be treated in private hospitals rather than in hospitals belonging to governments. They believe that private surgeries have better facilitates and they will be given a high-cost prescription meeting their satisfaction.
In spite of the argument mentioned above, I support the view that medical service should not be run with a view to making profit as good physical condition is very important to individual person. The main benefit of this is that the walks of life can easily access to medical service. Whereas wealthy people can afford themselves to be treated in luxurious hospitals, the poor cannot do this, so that they maybe do not know their status of health if private hospital are indeed widely built. Furthermore, people will feel equal with each other because they are healed by the same method and the same service.
In conclusion, it seems to me that we gain more than we loose from operating medical service companies for everybody.
