It is impossible to help all people in the world, so governments should only focus on people in their own countries. To what extent do you agree or disagree?
Many people claim that governments should only assist their local citizens instead of helping residents in other nations. While it is true that the governments need to focus on their own people, I believe it is also possible to provide support for others around the world.
To begin with, there are several reasons why governments should support people in their own country. First, the governments need to improve the living standard of their own citizens. For example, in order to reduce poverty, the governments spend money helping the poverished, which decreases crime rates and makes their countries safer as well as leads to stable development. Second, since citizens pay taxes for the government, they have a right to require the government to shouder the responsibility to support them. In fact, if the governments do not help their citizens, people might feel disappointed and lose trust in their own nation.
However, I would argue that we can also help individuals coming from other parts of the world. Firstly, by sending exellent doctors and modern equipment, rich countries can help poorer countries cope with diseases. For example, hundreds of U.K an U.S doctors and nurses were sent to Africa countries to deal with the Ebola disease, which prevents the spread of serious diseases. Additionally, in order to enhance relationships between nations, governments should give people in other nations a hand. For instance, since Vietnam is one of the best countries in the world having high quality rice, Vietnamese government would cater free rice for people in other nations that lack rice, which maintains good relationships between Vietnam and foreign countries.
In conclusion, while it is true that governments should have the responsibility to help their own citizens, I would argure that it is also necessary for the governments to help people living in other countries.[9/1/2017, 11:10:14 AM] Cám ơn các bạn!
