Governments should spend money on railways rather than roads
To what extent do you agree or disagree with this statement ?
It is true that traffic congestion has become a serious problem in various cities and countries . While some individuals believe that authority ought to expand and improve aril system is the best solution . I completely agree with this point of view .
On the on hand , it is undoubted notable benefits of rail services for both nations and local inhabitants . One reason is that as many cities have expanded , more people now live on the outskirts and commute to work in their own vehicles . With the elaborate investments of the government in railways will generate tendencies in using public transports within the community . Another reason is that , the rail networks was arranged suitably will relieve pressure of government on traffic congestion issues . The authorities may spend their time and capitals on other fields which are also critical to support
On the other hand , constructions of railways play an integral role in solving traffic jam . Firstly , the land is rarely available here and now to expand the square of roads . A metro network , built underground would be more practical option and it has proved popular in major cities across the world . Furthermore , individual will be stimulated to leave their own transports at home , in order to travel more quickly to their destination by rail system . As a result , the road and underground networks will be used effectively
In conclusion , with strong reasons mentioned above I agree that government should prioritise investing rail lines rather than widening roads
