35. There is a general increase in anti-social behaviors and lack of respect for others. What are the causes and solutions?
In recent days, the fact that cases of anti-social behaviors are experiencing a rapid growth has become the subject of increasing concern in the society. Some of the major culprits of this problem will be discussed before the most important solutions are drawn.
Reasons for this alarming situation vary. In some cases, rationales for such disrespectful ways of acting could probably stem from the environment where violence and discrimination are the norms. Indeed, it goes without saying that human can easily be affected and imitate the people they are around in terms of culture and communication. For example, children of sexist family are expected to show a tendency of disrespecting women. In some other cases, it is the lack of parental guidance that is to blame. As a matter of fact, as modern parents are usually occupied with their jobs, they may have the proclivity to neglect their children education. Once children have no one help them to distinguish between right and wrong, ill-mannered attitudes and behaviors may emerge and develop among them without being control.
A number of definite actions could be taken to mitigate the issues. On a national level, leaders should have appropriate and strict regulations as to the ways citizens behave in order to deter unnecessary violence and discrimination from happening. Likewise, society will soon be made clear and packed with civilized manners. On a nuclear-family level, patrons must not underestimate the significance of giving children proper guidance. Instead, more time should be designed to observe and control youngsters’ behaviors as in time remedies will be taken if there are any signs of undesirable acts.
To conclude, it may appear that such violence and discrimination together with parents’ indifferences contribute to the degradation of social behaviors. Strong measures, therefore, have to be taken immediately to alleviate the distressing situation.
