Some people think international car-free days is an effective way of reducing air pollution, others think there are some other ways.

People’s opinions differ as to whether or not having some international days which people will not use their own cars. While there are some arguments against this idea, I still believe it is a necessary solution to reduce the amount of fume going off into the atmosphere.
There are three main reasons why some people think there are more effective ways than international car-free days. Firstly, there is evidence to support the idea that in Singapore, for example, government forces the law that people should share their cars if they have the same routine. Secondly, people had better use public transport instead of going to somewhere by their private cars. By this way, the volume of transportation decreases significantly; therefore, not only does this reduce air pollution but also traffic congestions. Finally, more people believe that to rid of their own car is an inconvenient way since they feel that they do not have enough freedom and private time, space.
In spite of the arguments mentioned above, I support the view that governments should establish international days when cars are not allowed to use in order to protect the lonely air. The main benefit is that our air will become much purer because the exhaust will not be discharged anymore, unlike these ways above. In particular, in some certain days, the Chine government bans on the use of cars, and the result is that the air is much purer than usual. Moreover, more people prefer to go to work or school on foot as they assert that it is not only beneficial to our environment but also to their health.
In conclusion, it seems to me that international car-free days have a range of positive long-term consequencesAttachments:
