Chữa bài IELTS Task 2
Some people believe that parents should control their children’s behaviour from a very young age. What do you think?
The role of parents has long been considered as a significant factor in their children’s development. Some parents believe that their children’s behaviour should be restricted from a very young age. I totally agree with this way of educating children for numerous reasons.
One reason is that it is far easier to shape a child than to repair an adult. When they are young, their personalities are not developed. They will observe people around them or from what they see on the television and repeat the actions. So by carefully watching children, parents can immediately tell their children what is wrong to do, as a result, children will not do it again.
Another reason is that controlling children’s behaviour early can help to avoid unfortunate consequences in the future. Since children are immature, they cannot know whether something is good or bad. Without parental control, they are likely to adopt unhealthy habits like smoking or taking illegal drugs. Those habits can completely destroy children’s future.
People, who argue that children should be given freedom, can say that under provision from parents, children cannot gain as much pratical experience since they do not have enough chances to explore the world. However, life is full of different kinds of people, children can easily learn things from bad people and imitate without knowing it. Once children have taken up these things, it will be really difficult to fix.
In conclusion, it is true that everyone including children should be given freedom to do what they want, but I strongly believe that parents must control children’s behaviour from a young age because a little late may be too late.Attachments:
