Solving environment problems should be the responsibility of an international organization rather than each national government. Do you agree or disagree?
The responsibility of solving environments related issues should be taken by an international organization instead of each country. However, I completely disagree with this view for two main reasons.
Firstly, the national governments are the one that have more influences to the citizens than international organizations do. As the government often work directly with large companies which account for huge amount of pollution, they can make decisions to ban activities that can cause harm to the environment instantly. If needed, they can even operate strict policy to hinder mass production of companies and the amount of emissions they release everyday. To protect the environment, a country can enact a lot of events to their own citizens such as promoting the use of bicycle or public transport instead of private vehicles and encourage people to reuse and recycle.
Secondly, each country has its different priority in the list of environmental issues that need addressing since the government have much more awareness of the problems that their people are facing. While some developing countries give priority to providing clean water to people, industrialized countries are more likely to concern about air pollution. Therefore, an international organization will lack human resources and abilities to approach all the problems individually. Each country should come up with the solution to their issues instead of expecting an organization to help them.
In conclusion, uprooting environment problems should be the responsibility of each national government. However, each government body still need support from a global committee, especially developing countries at the early stage as they are lacking of finance and experience.
