Parents often give children everything they ask for and do what they like. Is it good for children? What are the consequences when they grow up?
Educating children is never considered as an easy task for any parents. Some of them want to accommodate their children’s every demand and freedom to do what they like. However, this way of parenting is detrimental to children and results in long-term consequences for them.
There are several reasons why this child-rearing practice will do no good to children. Firstly, it will make children lack of life skills. They will not be able to do even the most basic thing for themselves such as wearing clothes or eating independently. This will have bad influences on the developmental stage of children. Secondly, children who can have everything so easily will take their parents’ efforts in making money for granted. They will form the habit of requiring all the things they need. Obviously, when their demands are not met, they will become unpleasant and disobey their parents.
In the long run, the consequences are even direr as over-indulged children grow up. If parents always satisfy their children’s need, they will make children adopt an over-dependent lifestyles. When they grow up, they cannot live independently from their parents, this will be an obstacle to their future career and the ability to control their own lives. Moreover, getting used to having been fulfilled everything they want will result in the lack of motivation in children. As they do not know how difficult it is to acquire something, even when they grow up, every time they fail in their lives, they think they will only need to turn back to their parents to ask for help. Therefore, they will not have the determination to pursue their dreams and the persistence that is needed to be successful in the future.
In conclusion, parents are the one who love their children unconditionally and every parent want to give the best thing to their offsprings. However, the way they meet every demand and give all freedom to children can produce a number of unfavorable effects.
