Chữa bài IELTS Task 2
Every person should stay at school until 18. Do you agree or disagree?
It is true that students should all be given formal education. While I accept that youngster would rape the benefits of completing high schools, I believe that the flexibility in the age for schooling could apply to wider range of students compared to compelling people to go to school until 18.
On the one hand, there are variety of reasons why every person should not leave school before 18. One reason is that school could provide people with fundamental knowledge and social skills. Besides, at such a young age, you do not have sufficient intellectual capacity to differentiate the right behaviors from the wrong ones. Second reason is that high school leavers are likely to have more job opportunities. In the current competitive market, well-educated people could perform better at work and have higher salaries.
On the other hand, for different reasons, children should be given the chance to decide if they want to continue studying. Firstly, experience acquiring from hardships in life could be more beneficial in the real world. At school, most of the time, we are provided with theories, which would be of little importance in the future when many unexpected problems that are never taught at school could occur. Therefore, life would be the best place for a person to get experience and trainings. Secondly, some children do not have any interests in things that are taught at school. Many notable people have proved that you do not necessarily have to go to school to achieve what you want. For example, Thomas Edison dropped out of school, but still became one of the most famous inventors of all time.
In conclusion, staying at school until 18 should never be obligatory for any people. Education duration must be decided by students, who are the clearest about their own needs and abilities.Attachments:
