Topic: Animal species are becoming extinct as a result of human activities on land and in sea. Why has this happened? What are the solutions?

Many animals on the Earth are on the verge of extinction. Some people put the blame on human activities which negatively affect the species’ habitats on land and in sea. In my opinion, there are certain explanations and solutions for this phenomenon.
First of all, several reasons can be put forward to account for such activities of humans. One justification may be attributed to the process of industrialization. It is true that to facilitate the manufacturing procedure, human beings exploit the natural resources in various ways, ranging from deforestation to coal mining. The greed of human gradually leads to overexploitation, which accidentally affects the food chains and destroys ecological systems, thereby contributing to the degradation of the natural habitats of a number of species. Another explanation worth mentioning is that the act of trading between nations is also a driving force behind such damaging activities. The fact remains that most of goods are transported all over the world by sea. Therefore, the ocean is facing the problems of exhaustion and garbage from ships emitted to its body. There is evidence of many oil spills happening, which poses a severe threat on underwater environment.
However, several solutions can be put forward to address the issue. Firstly, it is feasible for the governments to impose regulations on environmental standards, supporting eco-friendly manufacturing methods. Any firms that violate this code of conduct should be put heavy fines on. Another possible solution is that authorities of nations, especially of developed ones, invest more budget in environmental research to rehabilitate the habitats of animals endangered of extinction.
In conclusion, although human activities are the culprit of the possible extinction of some species, there are still some solutions to reverse the consequence.
