Đề bài: Some people believe that charities should give aid to those who need the aid most, wherever they live. Some others believe that charity organizations would better concentrate on people in their own countries. Discuss both views and give your own opinion.
These days, the operation of charity organizations has been causing some public controversy. Although many people believe that paying attention to impoverished people in local places is a good way, I agree with those who argue that charities have a responsibility to support aid to all people who need it most around the world.
On the one hand, there are a variety of reasons why charity organizations should emphasize on miserable people in their own country. Firstly, since the financial matter is essential for charities, financial management could be more effective by giving aid to domestic citizens who are having difficulties in their lives. In fact, not all charitable organizations have massive scale and abundant source of finance, therefore they can not take care of both the poor people in their country and others being out of their national border at the same time. Secondly, it may be a pragmatic strategy for charity funds when they focus on providing aid to their residents because it allows their country to be less reliant on foreign subsidies in case of emergency. For example, there would be a beneficial effect on some countries which often suffer from natural disasters, such as Vietnamese, Phillippine, Japan, etc. if their charities afford to rescue local people instead of expecting outside support.
On the other hand, the option of helping those who need aid most in over the world is more compelling for several reasons. First, the poor are everywhere, including some wealthy countries, and all of them have the right to receive aid from charities regardless of their nationality. As a case in point, more and more children in Africa are starving due to food scarcity, so it is more important to help them than just to donate to needy people who can still survive by their own labor. Furthermore, supporting aid on a global scale can strengthen international unity. For instance, private charitable institutions and government from many different countries gave aids such as victuals and money to Japanese people together after the earthquake and tsunami occurred in 2011 in that country.
In conclusion, I believe that it is more beneficial for the charity organizations to provide aid to the poor in all continents as this can make significant contributions to the betterment of global society.[8/12/2019, 7:05:01 PM] Cám ơn các bạn!
