It is better for boys and girls to study separately rather than study in mixed sex classes. They are less distracted and this leads to better results.

Do you agree or disagree with this statement?

Nowadays education is considered equally important to both girls and boys. While some say that splitting them into different classes will result in better achievement in study because of being less distracted from the opposite gender, the others argue that mixed sex class will provide students with a balance development of academic knowledge and social skills. In my view, I totally agree with the latter statement.
There are a number of reasons why co-education system should be conducted in the current society. Firstly, studying in mixed sex classes will enable students to gain better results because of high competitive learning environment. Girls usually try to get excellent marks and grades to be ahead of boys and vice versa. This attitude eventually results in an overall high quality of education standard. Secondly, co-education system will provide a healthy circumstance for every single student irrespective of their gender to reach a balance between academic studies, physical activities and social skills. Interaction with the opposite gender at very early age from the school time will help them to build up their strong confidence which is a necessary skill to their future life because in a real world one does not compete with candidates of his own sex but everyone. Therefore a child who is educated together with other sex will find more comfortable in dealing with anyone without shyness when she/he grows up, which give him a higher chance of success in life.
Apart from the benefits of a mixed-gender class mentioned above, I do believe that co-education system also helps government to save considerable costs from setting up different single schools separately for boys and girls.
In summary, I believe that girls and boys should be kept in the same class to enhance their overall development, not only in better achievement of academic qualifications but also better socializing with all people of any gender. This will help them to keep pace with the level of the other sex.
