Task 2: For school children, their teachers have more influence on their intelligence
and social development than their parents. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

It is argued that teachers have more inspire intelligence and social development in school children than their parents. In my opinion, I believe teachers have more influence on children’s intelligence and parents have more influence on social development.

It is clear that teachers encourage children to improve intelligence and self-development. Teachers spent most of the time with children at school, where they teach subjects related to enhancing children intellectual such as math, biology, etc. Children usually spend five to eight hours at school every weekday, which are great hours to gain knowledge. Therefore teachers should play a vital role in helping children to unlock their potential. The second reason is to become a teacher, they have to go through not only propound specific subjects of degree but also an education programme that provides them with psychology learning.

However, parents are the first experts of social development since the children were a kid. The lessons of social behaviours are really important, which are fundamental to development such as behaviours in public, behaviours in school. After the hours at school, they spend time with parents at home and other outdoor activities like camping, traveling. Under parental education, children gain an awareness of social interaction by learning from reality situations in daily life. Therefore, parents have more influence on social development than teachers at school.

In conclusion, school children need the vital roles of both teachers and parents in improving children’s overall development needs. While teachers encourage them in developing the intellectual, parents guide them in cognitive social development.
