Topic: The best way to the world’s environmental problems is to increase the price of fuels. Do you agree or disagree?
In recent years, environmental damage has become a subject of concern worldwide. Some argue that the price of fuel should be heightened as a way to solve this problem. Personally, I do not totally agree with this point of view.
There are some reasons why it is suggested that increasing cost of fuel might be helpful. Prior to the growth in cost, consumers are less likely to afford for fuel. As a result, there will be a decline in consumption and a reduction on the amount of toxic chemical released to the air. This is believed to prevent the spread of global warming and green house effects. Although this measure seems to take effect, there are drawbacks that require further solutions.
In my opinion, it is more crucial for developing sustainable energy instead of focusing on fuel price. Because of fuel shortage, there can be a lack of energy resource to support daily activities leading to economic problem. Heightening the price of fuel will put a heavy burden on the consumers. However, if environmentally-friendly energy is applied effectively, the economic and environmental issues can be tackled which bring various benefits to the inhabitants. For example, energy produced from wind and sun has been used in many countries and have supplied to millions of households around the world.
In conclusion, I believe that there are more effective ways other than increasing the fuel price to deal with environmental problems. In a foreseeable future, technological advancement will give out substitute source of energy to improve human life.
